This larger Open offers fine handling in choppy seas, excellent course-holding, and terrific stability - with a top speed of over 42 knots in the most powerful version. Safety is a key feature too, with high freeboard, wide side-decks, lots of handrails, and roomy bench seats where you can sit tight even at high speed. A modest draught, the ease of beaching, and the long range allowed by the 480-litre fuel tank all contribute to the feeling of comfort, confidence, and safety. Life aboard: Bertrand Danglade has designed the RHEA 35 Open to suit a variety of purposes. The deck is covered in solid teak throughout and is perfect for relaxing, with a large bench seat aft that converts to a sun-bathing platform of over 4 m2. Forward, there is a deck saloon seating 8-10 people round a removable table. A sliding unit under the helmsmen's seats discreetly houses the outdoor galley with sink, cooker, and a refrigerator. Beneath the driving console, the cabin (1.83 m headroom) offers a double berth and a head, making coastal cruising a real possibility too.
