||Power Plant (Propulsion)
1) Propulsion engine
The Landing Craft will be powered by twin ;
Power: 400 HP
RPM: 2100 R. P. M.
The engines will be in accordance with standard delivery, equipment and specifications.
The engines will be installed on shock absorbers suitable for this engine in order to minimize vibrations.
2) Auxiliary engine
The Landing Craft will be powered by;
1 x Marine Diesel Generator Engine
Cummins ONAN or Perkins 17 kW at 1500 Rpm (50 Hz)
Local Operation Panel mounted on the Generator and contain oil pressure gauge, water temperature gauge and tachometer with combined hour meter.
The following accessories to be provided:
Exhaust manifold with flexible fittings. The waterlock, wet type, .
Fuel filters, with water traps.
Air filter, dry type,
Reverse reduction gearboxes to be engine mounted and of good marine quality.
Gearboxes shall be connected to the main engines via a flexible coupling

-All equipment will be labelled to show clearly their function
-Generators Electrical system will be 220 V will be available.
-The low voltage is to be a 24 volt DC system
-The battery charging system is designed to ensure that all batteries can charged all times from main engines.
-Main and auxiliary engines starters and alternators are to be 24V
All electric and electronic equipment is to be suitable for marine service,
Installation will be according to good marine practice.
Cables and wires
All cables and wires of approved marine type and to be secured by clips and mechanically protected where necessary, or laid in cable channels. Control cables to have spare conductors according to shipyard practice, Where exposed to mechanical damage, cables to be suitably protected.
All cables to be labelled by labels numbers. Electrical connections to engines via plug-in system.
Switchboards and Circuit Breakers
Switchboards/distribution installed within the panels to be easily accessible for operation and maintenance. The switchboard shall contain the following:
- Main switch.
- Circuit breakers for the consumers.
Fuses and breakers to be in one switchbox and located in the wheelhouse console, easily maintained and operated by the helmsman. Circuit breakers shall be clearly marked with nameplates. The electrical system on the engines shall be protected in the engine's instrument panel, so no further outgoing circuits for the engines shall be in the above mentioned circuit breakers board.
The switches are to be fitted in the instrument panel of the helmsman's console for operating
The Engine Room lights will be operated with a separate switch placed inside at the entrance.
The switches on the instrument panel will be clearly marked with nameplates.
Wipers, Horn, Searchlight, Floodlight, Navigation Lights, Rudder Angle Indicator, Pumps, Sockets, Shore connection plug
24VDC system consisting of five (5) battery groups as follow;
One battery bank will be provided for port main engine.
One battery bank will be provided for stb main engine.
One battery bank will be provided for generator engine.
One battery bank will be provided for Service Consumers.
One battery bank will be provided for Emergency Consumers
||Mooring, Outfit and Anchor
One (1) anchor with 12 mm. Chain and 80m length.
Hydraulic or electric operated windlass. 1 ton capacity
Anchor will be stored at the fore deck..
Four (4) synthetic mooring ropes 20 m. Each, 30 mm. Circumference.
Strong Steel bollards for mooring to be fitted two fore and two aft.
Electric (24V) driven pumps for draining the lowest point in each compartment operated by a manual switch.
The purpose of this Technical Specification is to define the basic design requirements for a 15-M Landing Craft to serve the coastal area.
The Bidders / Shipyards (herein called "Builder") are to offer a proven design of such a
Landing Craft and a full building specification to the owner, (herein called "Owner").
All correspondence plans and documents under these Specifications to be in English.
All labels will be in English.
All units of measurements for this Landing Craft will be in metric units.
The Owner holds the right to supervise in all times the building/outfitting/preparation of the Landing Craft to be supplied, by his representatives or other nominated by him.
The vessel is to be designed twin screw driven Landing Craft and built accordance with
General arrangement Plan (GA) the plan attached the contract.
That accompanies this specification the hull and wheelhouse is to be of all welded steel construction
The wheelhouse and control bridge will be starboard sidee and shall have large windows with all round vision.
The hull will be divided into 4 compartments by watertight bulkheads.
The Landing Craft will be propelled by two marine engines, each driving fixed pitch propellers.
Depth: abt. 1.5m
The shipyard built the vessel in acceptance of good marine standards and delivery them to the buyer in working condition furnished by all means as describes in specifications.
Additional works modifications requested by the buyer after signed of the Contract, shall be priced separately by the shipyard and will be collected by the buyer prior commencing the requested extra works and obviously extend the delivery time that has been accepted before.
Materials and Workmanship
All materials will be new, of first class marine quality. Wood to be durable hardwood, well seasoned, and well preserved. The workmanship of the hull and fittings throughout shall be of good marine practice.
The hull and wheelhouse will be constructed of steel plate all steels will be shot blasted before fabrication.
In way of bollards and lifting eyes, deck will be strengthened by internals and reinforced under additional stiffening will be provided as necessary in way of engine seats.
The Landing Craft's hull will be divided into four watertight compartments.
The fore peak will serve as water ballast tank. Access from store room will be provided, through watertight opening on fore peak bulkhead.
As shown in General Arrangement Plan
Engine compartment will be spacious to enable ample access to perform repairs, maintenance and easy removal of engines. Access to Engine Room through forward doors in W. T. Bulkheads and through W. T. Hatch located on top of raised deck. Engines to be removed through bolted flash hatch on main deck.
Wheelhouse will be fabricated in steel about 2100 mm. Height and will be placed at the mid ship starboard side as seen on the general arrangement section of the Landing Craft for easy operation. Windows sizes as shown on plan good view of aft and fore decks. Windows and doors will be placed as GA plan. The wheelhouse will be fully air conditioned. The wheelhouse ceiling, walls are to be insulated, Engine control panel & audio/visual alarm will be installed to control oil pressure, cooling water temperature, engine tachometers, batteries charge ampere meter and additional instruments needed to effectively control the propulsion system.

Instrument panels arranged in an ergonomic way to have good visibility angles and ease of operation by the helmsman. One comfortable chair shall be installed on adequate foundations.
Additional upholstered benches for crews seating. Benches, top lift, and provided with lockers under for storage of life jackets and any other equipment. Linings / Ceiling Face will be laminate plywood white colour. Panel joints will be hard wood, all wood will be well seasoned good quality.
The Landing Craft will contain;
4 x Ballast Tanks - Total: 7.6 m3
1x Grey Water Tank - 0.39 m3
1x Sewage Tank - 0.39 m3
The tanks will be situated according the G. A Plan.
Filling from deck and vent pipes with flame arrestor to open air.
Four (4) lifting eyes will be provided on the deck. Lifting bar/eyebolts will be fitted in engine room to remove Engines.
