|The 41 Luhrs Open Tower exudes “power” before even leaving the dock. At 13.56m (44’6”) LOA and 4.8m (15’9”) Beam, this battlewagon is big where it counts, offering anglers all the essentials for blue-water sportfishing while providing the family with a luxurious weekender for cruising and entertaining in comfort & style.
As the man in the 41 Open video (see it at www. Luhrs. Com) says, “This thing handles like a sports car”. Like all Luhrs, the 41 Open Tower is a superb sea boat with all the famous Luhrs deep v performance traits, is a pleasure to drive, and incredibly good value for money.
The tower provides the skipper with panoramic views to spot working birds and fish coming into the spread. Dual station electronic controls allow full control in both tower and bridgedeck. You’re not stuck on the flybridge while travelling and the party is down below. The raised custom helm seat ensures great visibility all round and the console dash will handle the largest of electronics. The windscreen has an electrically controlled opening section for ventilation plus there are two overhead hatches in the hard top. All standard.
Down below, the interior is designed with practical luxury in mind. There are sea-berths in the main salon, while forward in the private master stateroom there’s a queen-size berth with an innerspring mattress. The galley is a joy, with twin sinks, Corian bench tops and twin burner electric cook-top, separate fridge and freezer units, microwave & coffeemaker, plus loads of storage and bench space. All standard.
The 41 Open comes standard with 2x Yanmar 655hp shaft drive diesels. A 11.5kw Onan Genset and 25,000 BTU reverse-cycle air-conditioning are standard. All the engineering is heavy duty.
The 100sq ft cockpit includes a 200ltr transom livewell, moulded bait-prep station, tackle drawers and sink. There are two large in-sole fishboxes, and huge insulated icebox. There’s an alloy plate moulded into the floor ready to take a full sized game chair, and of course a transom door to slide the big ones in.
