A distinctively fresh new designWhen our highly talented team of designers and engineers first set out to create a completely new Riviera – one befitting membership of our exclusive SUV collection – they immediately turned to our loyal legion of blue-water cruising aficionados. After all, who better to help refine Australia’s most-awarded builder of luxury motor yachts into a new era of new model development than highly experienced members of our global family of Riviera yacht owners? With your valued assistance, we have comprehensively researched how, when and where you use your Riviera … feeding all your experience, knowledge and aspirations into the design process as we strive to create for you the ‘ultimate boating experience’. What we heard is that you desire to spend more time living aboard your luxury Riviera, and that you dream of cruising even further afield … and that you want real choices – and that this applies equally in terms of navigation and onboard systems as it does to drive packages. Now, we are proud to present to you the supremely seaworthy, easy-to-skipper and absolutely luxurious long-range Riviera 575 SUV – in many ways she is your creation just as much as ours. She is stylish, sophisticated and sublime … and proudly embodies the hallmark dependability for which Riviera is internationally renowned. Notably, the 575 SUV is available with your choice of either conventional shaft drive or innovative pod propulsion to suit specific geographic and individual owner requirements – one of the first yachts in the world to offer owners such flexibility. Of course such world-leading thinking and creativity in design is evident right throughout this world-class Riviera, which has been built to last with global best-practice standards foremost in mind. You’ll notice her distinctive design that has everything in perfect proportion. Indeed, with her contemporary styling and impeccable blue-water pedigree, the robust Riviera 575 SUV exhibits powerful and noble lines with a muscular sheer forward and deep topside dimensions, giving her a freeboard akin to a much larger yacht altogether. The full magnitude is complemented by the fact her hull lines run straight aft from the maximum mid-ship beam of 5.13m (16' 10"). This, in turn, provides an extremely buoyant lift and an easy planing surface, as well as great stability, enhancing her award-winning blue-water performance. Indeed, there's less the sense of a scaled-up 50-footer as there might be of a scaled-down 60-something. (The 575's overall length with swim platform and bow sprit is actually 60' 9")
Two boats... In one
The sporty and adventurous Riviera SUV series opens up a whole new world of boating enjoyment for both the avid angler and cruising entertainer. Indeed, our valued owners tell us it’s a lot like having two boats … in one. The SUV series is the perfect pairing of two legendary designs, each with its own formidable pedigree … and while its name has automotive origins, this very versatile range of Riviera has been created with ‘the ultimate boating adventure’ foremost in mind. The result, of course, is a crossover vessel like no other – one which combines the high-performance, blue-water cruising and fish-raising abilities of the classic Riviera Flybridge, and the single-level, leisurely entertaining features of our very popular Sport Yacht design. The Riviera SUV series truly is … the best of both worlds. The new 575 SUV has many clever design features such as the sleek, low profile hardtop with two large manually sliding sunroof hatches, which bring an abundance of natural light and fresh air into the saloon. There is great all round visibility from the helm. The raised seating area in the saloon and the large opening side windows provide a real indoor-outdoor feel.
The commanding helm station to port has plenty of room for electronics including three display screens, controls and the Volvo joystick. There are four high-quality helm chairs, three of which swivel 180 degrees to extend the seating capacity of this vast entertaining area. The saloon features an L-shaped lounge and dining area to port with storage below. The dining table swivels 90 degrees and drops down level with the lounge to create a chaise lounge or double bed with cushion insert. On the starboard side there is a three seater starboard side lounge which lifts up to reveal more storage below. The aft galley features the most modern appliances with drawer refrigeration, convection microwave oven, optional drawer dishwasher, four plate cooktop with extraction hood, top loading garbage bin, overhead storage lockers, all drawers have soft close runners, and Corian benchtops throughout with infills over the sink create extra bench space. A large awning window and glass sliding door opens the saloon and galley into the cockpit area, creating one enormous entertainment space. Adjacent to the galley is the bar area, which features Corian benchtops, a second bank of double drawer refrigeration and an ice maker, plus glass and drinks storage, and the concealed television that raises and lowers on electric rams. A key design feature that sets the 575 apart is the expansive and uncluttered cockpit space with plenty of storage including, an insulated fish bin to starboard, plus clever storage beneath the engine room hatch – simply raise the hinged cockpit floor and the two large fore and aft fish/storage bins lift with the deck whilst a third square storage compartment is revealed. The mezzanine seating to port also features a top loading refrigerated cool box under the seating. There is the option to have a barbecue centre in the transom with barbecue, sink, rubbish bin and storage or optional live bait tank or standard storage bin, as well as an optional hydraulic swim platform for a smaller tender. Another clever design feature on the 575 is the full glass panel on the starboard side of the sliding door, which provides good visibility to both the transom corners from the helm. Featuring three cabins and two bathrooms, the 575 SUV has a flexible accommodation plan with sleeping capacity for six to eight adults. The stately full-beam master suite features a king size island bed, large hull windows and optional opening port holes for cross ventilation, a walk-in robe, lounge and large flat screen television and DVD player as standard. The forward guest cabin has an optional layout with the choice of either a queen size island bed or a triple bunk bed arrangement, as displayed on hull one. This cabin also features large hull windows and deck hatch for ventilation.
The third cabin has two metre long bunk beds, making this vessel ideal for extended stays aboard with family or friends. The new 575 SUV’s décor gives a modern and contemporary feel. The new style interior design features two-pack painted finishes, satin finish American oak timber, timber flooring, which gives a true Euro feel. Some recent owners have requested a custom décor utilising Riviera’s traditional high-gloss Cherry interior. Such interior versatility demonstrates Riviera’s flexibility to be able to create each owner’s dream boat by customising many aspects of the boat.
The mid-ships fuel tank with 3,500 litres fuel capacity allows the twin Volvo IPS 900 engines a cruising range of around 390 nautical miles. With a moulded hull length of 56’5” and a beam of 16’10”, this striking new model will cruise at 25 to 26 knots and achieve a top speed around 32 knots.
