|These superbly built GRP launches are easy to manage and a delight to own. "Argo" is at home cruising our glorious waterways or out to seas on a beautiful day, easily beached in your favorite bay, and designed to be comfortable for a weekend or holiday away for two, or a perfect picnic lunch with your family. (The cockpit is large enough to accommodate 8-10 people). This boat is perfectly fine all year round on your mooring or marina berth, or can be kept on a trailer (trailer not included).
The Bayview 23 offers great stability and comfort in the seaway.
Launched in 2006 and loved by her owners we offer you the opportunity to enter the boating fraternity without breaking the bank. The Bayview 23's were built in Yamba NSW by Kay Cottee the renowned Australian sailor (she was the first woman to sail alone, non-stop and uniassisted around the world). The design of these classic looking launches originated from a mould taken off an old timber fishing launch from the Clarence River. The Bayview 23 has been described as a "Perfect blend of traditional style combined with modern technology".
As well as her spacious cockpit, she features tiller steering, a lockable cabin, a generous and surprisingly comfortable 2 metre long V berth with infill converting to a huge double bed if required, 4 lovely portholes, a stove, individual lighting, switchboard, a large opening deck hatch for cross ventilation or access forward and porta loo.
The fresh water cooled engine, a Yanmar 2GM20S 20hp diesel with shaft drive shows modest hours and runs quietly under its well insulated box. Carrying 100 litres of diesel ensures many hours cursing at an economical rate. Additional inventory includes a full sun awning for the cockpit, a complete cover encapsulating the boat whilst moored, electric bilge pumps, 2 x batteries, compass, ice box, 60 litres of water, anchor, fish finder, safety jackets, etc.
'Argo' is an absolute delight to behold and to own.
