|The Beneteau Swift Trawler 42 balances the comfort of a spacious sailboat interior, the long distance cruising of the classic trawler and the sea going performance of a modern motoryacht. This was Beneteau's first entry into the highly competitive trawler world and it took the world by storm, proving a huge success.
A wolf in sheep's clothing, the Swift trawler 42 is a pretty boat with traditional lines but a deceptively fast turn of speed; let's say 26 knots max with very little pressure on the engines and she is just as comfortable at 8 or 15 knots when there's no need to rush.
Best of all, the ST 42 is designed to be easy for a couple to manage. Practical walk around decks with survey-height hand rails in beautiful teak and stainless steel, clean decks, side opening doors for ease of access when docking, oversized teak steps provide ease of access to the flybridge. The flybridge offers even more real estate with a comfortable seating area, 2nd helm station, Walker Bay dinghy storage with crane and a bimini to keep you protected from the sun.
The Saloon is very Beneteau with rich cherrywood joinery and french styling. The aft deck forward to the galley and main helm station are on one level and you enjoy an abundance of light from the huge windows and 3 entrances. Takes 3 steps down and you will find a guest double 2 heads and a luxurious owner's cabin forward with a huge island bed. Storage, ventilation and light is everywhere you look and the genset and air conditioning will keep you comfortable and powered up whether in cold or hot weather.
Katrina is a 2004 model. She has spent most of her life on Sydney Harbour and comes to the market as her owners are selling their house where she lay in front of. She sports a comprehensive list of extras for her next owner to enjoy.
