|1947 C. E. Crowley 48' Classic Moreton Bay Cruiser "Stella Maris"
A beauitiful classic moreton bay cruiser that features all the advantages and fit out of a modern day craft.
Professionally refurbished and restored to as new with no expense spared and relaunched in 2009.
"Stella Maris" underwent a major refit from 2005-2009 with over $700K spent. Stripped and rebuilt from the bottom up over the 4 yr period. Hull splined, epoxied, fibreglassed and fully 2 pack painted. Coach house and decks all renewed. All new equipment, main engine, genset, electrics, fixtures and fittings, windows, plumbing and engineering throughout. New interior fit out with Teak cabinetry, parquetry floors and more. The vessel was relaunched and commissioned as new and has been maintained in excellent order.
Featuring a 2 cabin layout that sleeps 6 + 1 with an aft master island bed and ensuite. Forward focsle with 4 bunks and bathroom. Open and light saloon with large windows, a comprehensive helm station, day bed, well appointed galley, ultra leather lounge/dinette and Air-conditioned throughout. Walk around side decks with port and starboard access, good sized cockpit with extended hard top and camp covers, custom stainless steel rails, swim ladder and davit, teak laid decks and protective exterior covers.
Powered by a Diecon Nissan 180hp Diesel Shaft Drive with PSS Seal (Approx 380hrs),
Cruise 7 knots @ 1200rpm using under 1L/Nm. Exceptional range with 740L of Diesel and 840L of Water in stainless steel tanks. Maddox Bonding System, Aquavolt 8KVA Diesel Generator, Raymarine Electronics, BEP electrical panels, 24V Start, Trojan House batteries and so much more.
First Launched in 1947 and constructed by master shipwright, Charles Crowley and his team in Brisbane for a private owner to use in Moreton Bay. Built to exacting standards and specifications, based on an Australian Navy pilot boat design. Carvel hull, Spotted Gum frames, Blue Gum and Turpentine planking, Iron Bark keel and Tea Tree knees.
