|Built to Marine Board SA survey as a working Cray boat in 1961,"Angela May 11" fished for many years in South Australia. Later converted for comfortable cruising, she is in structurally sound and seaworthy condition with an extensive inventory of electronic and safety equipment. She sleeps 3 in her main accommodation area plus a short bunk in the separate enclosed wheelhouse. She has a fully functional galley with hot & cold water, a gas stove and a 12 volt fridge. There is a fully enclosed marine toilet with a hot & cold shower and wash basin.
Her extensive array of marine electronics include an HF radio, two VHF radios and a 27 Meg radio There is a Stereo CD player in the wheelhouse and another stereo, together with a TV & DVD player, in the cabin. Also located in the wheelhouse are two separate GPS screens with plotter and Radar overlay, Wind instruments, a Fish Finder and a heavy duty Coursemaster Autopilot. A galvanic isolator is fitted. A Plastimo steering compass is located near the helm.
The vessel is powered by a recently overhauled (2016) 4 cylinder, 72 HP Perkins 4236 marine diesel driving a 510mm diameter propeller via a 30mm stainless steel shaft through a Borg Warner Velvet Drive 1.91:1 reduction gearbox. Following the engine overhaul, she performed superbly in sea trials. She carries 400 litres of fuel in two stainless steel tanks and 200 litres of water in bladders. Steadying assistance in rough conditions is by way of two steadying sails carried on her Oregon mast and boom.
Fitted with lots of offshore safety equipment, she carries a 3m rigid hulled inflatable dinghy on stern mounted davits. A Muir Cougar electric anchor winch makes easy work of anchoring. There are lots of spares, workshop and instruction manuals, engine consumables and much sundry equipment on this strong sea-going vessel. The hull was re-caulked below the waterline and she was then anti fouled in May 2016.
In 2010, she steamed from Adelaide to Port Phillip and has since cruised in Victorian coastal and Bay waters. We have two comprehensive marine surveys and full construction scantlings available. A change in family circumstances mean this vessel MUST BE SOLD. All offers considered
