||This boat was designed specifically to cruise coastal waters. With its shallow draft (... ) all the problems of keel boats no longer applies
We have proved it's capabilities by cruising up the Australian coast to Irian Jaya and onto North Sulawesi. Tides were not a problem as when the tide was out we just sat flat on the sand and waited for the water to return. Coral could be a problem but again with the 6ml thickness of the hull we were not too concerned when we hit some ( which we did a couple of times) The best plus we had was pulling up right onto the beach and walk ashore.
Unfortunately, due to family issues, we had to return to Australia ASAP, so Beaujest was put in a container and returned to Brisbane. We had all intentions of returning to cruising Moreton Bay and restored her for that purpose. Alas, we have had to move to NSW and Beaujest has been on the hard at Aluminium Marine for some time and is looking a bit neglected.
We are selling with that in mind, as a bit of work will be necessary to get her back in the water, and enjoying 'sundowners' and a BBQ on the rear deck!
