|'Price negotiable, open to reasonable offers. Light, strong, limited production catamaran designed for cruising for a couple hence not compromised by charter boat design considerations. Fastback 32's are well noted for their turn of speed (especially in light airs) yet spacious living accommodations and sea kindly manners of larger cats, minus the size, weight, maintenance and expense. The design incorporates clever use of available space, making it comfortable to cruise and live aboard without compromising good performance. Fastbacks enjoy a loyal and dedicated band of happy owners because of it. (More photos on website. )
The hull shape, rudder and rig balance enables extremely easy tacking under sail and close quarters manoeuvring under power, making them genuinely responsive and a joy to sail. A sea trial will not disappoint (see videos)
Central Yanmar diesel with raisable drive leg, protective keel strakes, retracting dagger board, kick up rudders and minuscule draft allows for extra shallow depth exploring, 'escapes, beaching, and anchoring in close to shore.
Slipped, inspected and antifouled with only minor osmosis repairs done professionally (osmosis free) Dec'14. Boat is in excellent, well maintained, sound condition. My boat buying philosophy is similar to bikes... II think if you're not completely smitten with its design qualities, handling, performance and comfort than no matter what you buy you'll find you won't enjoy ownership as much as you should, regardless of model, size or cost.
Having had two previous owners I bought my Fastback as an easily single-handed and maintained live-aboard cruiser. I'm 183cm tall, based in the Whitsunday's, and can deliver boat anywhere in Queensland. Sailing tuition offered for novice sailors. Please give reasonable notice of inspection to insure viewing availability. Genuine buyers only please. Price negotiable open to reasonable offers. Any questions or queries please feel free to email or call anytime.
For MONOHULL fans... To put $$ per-foot into perspective, bear in mind that with catamarans you get two hulls with separate and private living quarters 'plus' a bridge deck saloon and three times the (stable) deck real-estate. For more photos please use web link below.
Only 1 person has viewed boat since first advertised, an 82yo from Cairns in August '15 who was smitten but circumstances dictateted otherwise. Update 28.3.16
