|Astraea is a 2014 launch Beneteau Oceanis 38 that has been very lightly used since her launch and always kept in A1 condition on a pen at the CYCA in Rushcutters Bay, Sydney.
This is a weekender version of Beneteau's highly popular and innovative model with the open layout down below in light oak timber. There is a huge double bed forward unseen on any production 38 footer forward of a huge saloon area, fitted galley to starboard, separate shower washroom starboard aft behind a separate head, a large and airy enclosed aft cabin behind a stand alone hanging storage locker. There is a Longchamp hanging bag, timber companionway steps, Ocean-air blinds, mosquito screens, microwave, inverter and more to ensure your ongoing comfort.
Astraea was equipped with very easy, short handed sailing in mind with a furling mainsail, electric cabin top winch, 3 blade folding propellor and adjustable jib cars. She is so easy to sail and yet still a very capable racer thanks to her performance chimed hull with twin rudders and T shaped torpedo keel. The Oceanis 38 is a very well behaved, low angle of heal, fast yacht.
She is also fitted with a bimini & dodger fixed to the mainsail arch, beautiful teak cockpit floor. Huge lowering teak covered transom for ease of boarding and swimming access, a huge cockpit locker, Category 7 safety gear for 10, a very strong stainless steel double bow roller, deluxe cockpit table, teak covered helm seats, shore power, electric windlass, anchor and mooring pack, wheel and table covers, B&G instrumentation and more.
The beautiful pearl grey coloured Astraea was antifouled in May 2016 in preparation for sale, is in brilliant condition and represents a generous saving off a new boat order.
