|"Plum Crazy" is no ordinary yacht... She's a classic in her own right! Designed and lovingly constructed by the best of her time, she continues to win hearts and races.
"Plum Crazy" was launched just 10 days before the 1971 Sydney Hobart and caused a sensation by leading American Jim Kilroy's maxi yacht "Kialoa 111" in the race to the Heads. She went on to win Division 2B in that race in what was an auspicious beginning to a distinguished racing career.
She has held since 1975 the Sydney Hobart race record for a yacht less than 9.5m LOA of 4 days, 1 hour, 18 minutes and 16 seconds.
"Plum Crazy" has since returned to Hobart as one of the star attractions in the Wooden Boat Festival.
The current owner has maintained her to a high standard and continues to regularly compete in Club racing.
If you're looking for a genuine, currently competitive, classic yacht, "Plum Crazy" is well worth inspecting. For more details on this desirable yacht call 02 9969 2144 or email sales@yachtsalesaustralia. Com
