|This Carbineer ketch located in Greece. Having cruised from Australia she is well proven and appears capable of undertaking any voyage worldwide in comfort and safety. This is a pedigree blue-water cruiser that benefits from a major refit in her current ownership and displays very high quality craftsmanship.
This Carbineer boasts beautiful lines and her raised bow and long encapsulated keel give a steady motion at sea whilst the ketch rig provides a versatile sail plan. She has a full skeg hung rudder, bow sprit and the fixed wheelhouse complete the offshore credentials of this fine ketch. Her current owner has used his wealth of sailing experience to customise this handsome ketch with great attention to detail, such as the stainless steel gantry incorporating davits, outboard hoist, solar panels etc. The centre cockpit has a fixed wheelhouse with beautiful varnish work giving protection from the elements and a feeling of security. The replacement teak deck and quality wood interior demonstrate the very high degree of craftsmanship that has gone into this yacht.
Descending the companionway steps at the forward end of the cockpit you enter the saloon where the galley and chart table are placed close to the centreline of the boat, giving less motion whilst at sea. The galley to port has a large fridge aft with sink, granite worktops, and a huge amount of practical stowage forward. The cooker is located further to port. Opposite to starboard is a full sized chart table and navigation area, with a huge freezer under. The main saloon has 'U' shaped seating around the beautifully inlaid table to port with a settee opposite to starboard and large storage unit. Going forward, a heads and shower compartment stretches across the full beam of the boat and further forward is the guest double cabin. There is a huge amount of practical stowage throughout, as you would expect on a liveaboard yacht of this calibre.
A walk in engine room/machinery space is located under the cockpit sole and can be accessed from aft of the chart table where there is a pilot berth, or from the galley side where there is a workbench. The owners cabin aft is accessed from the cockpit, has an offset double berth to starboard and a beautifully made stowage area/dressing table to port, and an en-suite heads compartment.
This Carbineer 46 is ready for new owners to cruise and liveaboard in style. Yachts as nice as this are rarely seen and she is a credit to her owner and the craftsman who created this classic ketch.
