|Serious, big volume cruising yacht from respected French designer. Heavily built in fibreglass, with good inventory. Typical of French designs, the interior is open and the layout supremely practical both for living aboard and sailing. All fittings are oversized and robust. A comfortable cockpit, totally protected by a hard dodger, hard top and clears means you could be sailing in your slippers! Maintained and presented in very tidy condition by her current, professional mariner owner.
The original builder of "La Diva" was a close friend of legendary French sailor Eric Tabarly and the boat started life as "Tabher" - a combination of their names. A series of owners sailed her to Asia and then Australia and she proved to be an excellent bluewater yacht as well as a long-term home. The full history is available (along with the original plans). As is typical with Caroff designs, the U-shaped saloon seating is orientated across the boat, facing aft (rather then two settees facing across a fore-and-aft table) and wraps round a generous-sized table. A double V-berth ahead of the seating occupies the bow. Chart table to port and a large bathroom running down the stbd side. This doubles as a workshop and has great light and full headroom. To port is the L-shaped galley with good bench and storage space. The corridor to the aft cabin runs down the port side and doubles as a washroom/shower. A double and single berth occupy the spacious aft cabin. Plenty of light with hatches and ports and heaps of storage, including a huge hanging locker. The interior is in very good condition with clean, painted surfaces, neat upholstery and very tidy presentation.
Decks provide clear access fwd and aft. The dinghy is stored on davits and access to the marina or the water is via lifeline gates either side.
