A hugely successful model and the ultimate balance between racer and cruiser. The Dufour 40 was voted as Frances Yacht of the year when the model launched and then subsequently won the World IMS championships 18 months later. This particular boat as one of the limited edition Umberto Felici designed performance model has an even higher level of specification. The taller rig and upsized engine are things that still emphasize just how good this is.
A full Dyneema sail wardrobe and racing setup seems unusual as you step on-board as you will think she has never been raced at all. Maintained in beautiful condition, the boat is fantastically clean and free from wear and tear.
In the cockpit, the primary and secondary winch placement is the preferred option (like the Grand Prix layout) so that people are forward facing when trimming. Situational awareness through the multi-function repeaters is excellent and the helm position even allows access to the aft winches if sailing when short-handed.
Below decks, a practical L shaped galley and Nav table sit adjacent to the dinette. Large enough to feed the whole family/crew together, the functional design and classic French flair result in a very pleasant owner experience.
This Dufour 40 offers a platform to get results in your local club races, or the ability to go cruising and enjoy all of the comforts of a modern production yacht without having to sacrifice performance and sailing ability.
