|Empede is a cutter rigged sloop, and a spacious big volume boat with a very kindly sea motion. The boat has three levels: cockpit, bridgedeck (with galley, fridge and dinette) and forward, comprising: the heads with shower, basin, electric toilet with holding tank; a cabin; with two bunks, two portside pilot berths (or use as storage); a V-berth which can be two singles or convert to a double; plus there's a large double in bridgedeck with the table down.
The bridgedeck windows provide light and near all-round vision. Add an autopilot and you could have all weather steering position. There's even a TV with DVD player if your anchored waiting for better weather.
She has a large furler genoa and mainsail boombag to make sailing handling easier. There's a Muir electric winch with remote cockpit control (up and down) to make anchoring easy.
There are two recent (2013) 80 watt solar panels and three batteries (two house, on start). There's a new in 2006 Yanmar 39HP diesel (regularly serviced, powerful and reliable). The rigging replaced in 2006.
Empede has recently sailed from Batemans Bay to Airlie Beach in Queensland where she is now located. She could do with a polish and some basic sprucing-up, but nothing structural or significant. Plenty of recent work and maintenance has been done. Empede is sound and kept in a seaworthy state as
I sail it with my family. Last antifouled April 2016. Recent SURVEY available on request. This boat will give pleasure for all forms of sailing with security and comfort offshore.
