|Johnny Be Goode was the last Farr 1020 built in New Zealand. It is a fast, stiff well built yacht, and is a pleasure to sail and race returning great results in recent events.
A new engine was installed in 2011, and the Standing Rigging replaced by NZ Rigging in 2011. A complete Raymarine instrument package was professionally installed along with a complete re-wire in 2015. A new windlass was installed in 2016.
There is a substantial inventory of quality racing sails most of which are recent additions as well as a number of 'training' sails. In addition to this, constant maintenance and the replacement of Halyards, jammers, winches, etc is on going. Nothing more to do, boat will even be freshly antifouled for the new owner!
Johnny Be Goode is regularly raced on Port Phillip, with only a couple of offshore races. Farr 1020's are great performers and comfortable for basic cruising, and this is one of the best.
