|"Touch of Class" is a 56 fast-passagemaking yacht for offshore sailing. Designed in New Zealand by john Lidgard and hand built in the Auckland boatyard of Lidgard Boatbuilders. She is especially designed for short-handed sailing. Easily managed by a crew of two, or with the autopilot engaged, by one. All lines and sail-furling controls return to the cockpit, and electric winches may be managed with the use of knee switches. Navigation electronics are repeated in the cockpit. She is fully equipped with all navigation and communications electronics to New Zealand Ministry of Transport "Extreme Limits" specifications. Air-conditioned throughout. Luxurious sleeping accommodations for eight, two double cabinsand two twin cabins for'ard may be dedicated to crew, or used for family/frienss accommodation. Personal comforts include three showers and three toilets. Superbly appionted and equipped saloon with seating for eight diners supported by a fully equipped galley and laundry/workshop. Plenty of stowage for sailing gear, provisions and personal impedimentia.
