|This is a roomy swing keel GRP yacht with HD trailer. Often described as a 'pocket cruiser', she has a large airy cabin with 1800mm headroom, dinette table, galley, loads of storage space and sleeps 6 adults.
Sunbirds are very seaworthy: with her long skeg and ballast, she's self-righting, stiff, and easy on the helm running in difficult conditions. We've mostly sailed her in the open Indian Ocean, Freo to Rotto, Mandurah, Bunbury, Busselton and Bunker Bay. Go to http://www. Johncrawfordmarine. Com. Overall, this is a good example for year (only 4 in WA I believe), with a genuine reason for sale. Please email for more info.

||Sunbird 25s seldom come up for sale in WA because there appear to be only 4 in the state. I bought her in Adelaide and apart from the $3000 cost of bringing her back to WA, I spent money on the electronics ($1800), new mainsail ($1200), trailer brakes ($2100) and tyres ($1200), cockpit cusions ($380) etc.. She's priced at average for the others I can find on the net, but with no further use for her I am open to offers.
As she's 2.5hrs from Perth, I've only had 4 people to see her in the past year, and I'm not sure how serious they were as no one stayed long and they were coming down anyway. The only comments were that one said that she was bigger than they thought and would be heavy to tow, and two said she looked "tired". The mattress covers are but the hull certainly doesn't, but I agree that the decks, cockpit and cabin top do, but no more than one would expect of a 30 year old boat, and I'd put a 2-pack over the top if I were keeping her.
