Built in 1999, this Swan 44 MK11 was one of the most succesful boats ever created by this famed company. It is arguably the perfect cruiser as she is ocean proven, fast and very comfortable. Swans are generally regarded as the Rolls Royces of the sea because every aspect of their design and manufacturing is attended to almost regardless of cost. As a result, they are expensive boats, generally out of the range of most people. Not this one. She is priced at least a hundred thousand dollars less than the same boat overseas. One owner until eighteen months ago when I fell in love with her (and I am a former maker of solid timber furniture). This was the boat I would never replace but I find myself engaged in a project that will take me to the US for some time. I've been umming and erring but the truth is, she will just sit there on the marina in Airlie Beach. This boat has always been immaculately looked after with impeccable timber work below decks, a floor that is as new and the original fabric as new (the former owner covered it again!). Add to this a 54J Yanma with 250 hours, a new gear box, new rigging, four powerful electric whinches, top model Raymarine plotter at the helm, twin heads with rebuilt Sanni Loo chemical processing units toghether with all new saftey gear and a brand new life raft and you have a boat that is to die for. And there is so much more. You don't need to dream about this boat, you need to see it. Located at Airlie Beach, she is is only a two hour flight from most major cities. There are only two buyers for this boat; someone who knows what a Swan is or someone who just can't bear poor quality and cheap materials. This is the only one to be found on the Australian market. Finally, this is a boat to delight women as she is gorgeous, comfortable and very safe with a fabulous galley and great privacy in both cabins.
