"Kahana" is a beautiful cruising timber ketch registered with the Australian Registry of Historic Vessels (Number HV000145). Built by Charles Larson in Sydney, a boat builder renowned for building sturdy sea going yachts.
"Kahana" is 38.25 ft LOA, 46ft incl bow spit. Breadth is 11.25ft, draft 5.25ft. She is a robust ketch with a canoe stern and is built in oregon, celery top pine and spotted gum with a 38mm beech deck and beautiful timber coach house.
Inside there are four bunks, a Broadwater 4 burner gas oven/stove, sink, table with seats, chart table and seperate room with toilet and basin. All the bedding and curtains are brand new. Powered by an inboard 65hp Fordson diesel motor, with a Borg-Warner transmission, power steering, auto pilot, Raystar GPS, long range radios, a powered anchor winch and an Air Marine wind generator.
