Under sail - now this is where the Hanse really shines, it's close winded, light on the helm and well balanced with a very responsive feel, all the things a good boat should be.
She tacked precisely and quickly and accelerated swiftly enough once through the wind. The boat hove-to well.
The boat's responsive feel and the self-tacking headsail make short tacking rather a delight.

Yanmar 3YM20, 15.3 kw (21 hp) with freshwater cooling. Saildrive. 2-blade fixed prop. Approx. 80 litres fuel tank. Engine hour meter, revolution counter. Seawater strainer, fuel filter. Insulated engine room.

12 V and 230 V circuits. 2 x 12V batteries (70 Ah for engine +100 Ah for service) with battery switches, switchpanel. Voltmeter. Navigation lights (bow, stern, steaming and anchor light).
