Tour/Video

Apanie is a 47 foot classic wooden Motoryacht, that's been converted from the 1945 Army tugboat 'Combarra'. She underwent a total conversion approx twenty years ago including a new diesel engine and Superstructure, and the aft deck was raised. She voyaged from Westernport to Kettering in 2011, and had a second 'upcycle' of her interior and exterior. Since her second conversion she's mainly been used as a very comfortable liveaboard (with beautiful waterfront views of the Derwent) berthed in a marina in Sandy Bay, Hobart. She will suit anyone seeking either a seachange Tasmania lifestyle, an affordable holiday house(boat) in Hobart, or set her up again for cruising. Apanie's layout is large for a 47 footer; she has a huge aft deck with freestanding lounge, full headroom living both upper deck and lower deck, a hallway with antique ship portholes between the fwd and aft staterooms, two custom double futon mattresses, heaps of storage, and also full headroom in the generous engine room. Apanie has a very reliable Detroit diesel 260Hp engine. The price being asked will reflect inclusion of a fresh slipping, antifouling, some touchup paintwork, and a propellor shaft service. Overall she is a very unique, character vessel, with a new interior carefully thought out by a professional yacht designer, and gains much praise from those who step aboard. Apanie has been nominated for the Australian Register of Historic Vessels.
