Enter the blissfully peaceful world of the displacement cruising boat, of which the Cape Moreton 30 is the epitome.
The setup below is perfect for utilising the space provided, with 360 degree views from the coach-house, a well designed and positioned galley, and a layout reminiscent of much larger boats.
Cape Moreton's well proportioned lines come from the hard chined "Sharpie" design..
As quoted from Australian Boating magazine
"The build of the Cape Moreton is a labour of love, built carefully and skillfully by a handpicked team of craftsmen that could easily be from another era".
"The keel, deadwood, stem, rim piece, chines, sheer clamps and engine bearers are laminated kauri. Stainless steel and silicon bronze fastenings, plus epoxy resins are used throughout.. "
With full bulwarks, the Cape Moreton is a very safe boat and her well proportioned design could have been for any size boat.
In fact, it is hard to recognise the size of the boat when viewed.
This is always the signature of a good boat design.
She presents in very good condition, clean, neat and tidy and up to date in her maintenance.
The Cape Moreton 30 is possibly Australia's best kept production boat secret.
(quoted from Australian Boating November 1987)
