Balaka was built in Sydney by the Griffin boatyard in Church Point in 1961. She was one of a line of succesful sports fishing boats built by the yard that expanded the business. Balaka has tonnes of original features that transport you back to the early 60's such as the mealmine laminate print surfaces in the galley and bathroom, the pink porcelain bathroom sink, chrome lettering on the transom, Bronze and stainless fittings such as original navigation lights, bollards, dorades and chromed searchlight and of course the venitian blinds that surround the whole saloon.
She is an absolute classic that can offer a lazy family weekend or zoom you to an offshore fishing spot all the while transporting you to another era.
The current owner has done much work in response to the orignial survey. There is more to complete but the owner needs to move on, so the price is discounted to expediate a sale. Don't miss out. This boat is built by a respected yard and is a collectors piece.
