45' (13.8m) Classic Timber Launch in the great style of the 1960's is reluctantly offered for sale
Huntress was designed and built by the renowned yard of H and J Griffin of Sydney reputedly alongside the construction of the America's Cup challenger Gretel II.
Huntress was launched in 1969 and immediately put aboard ship as deck cargo for the port of Fremantle where she went to her first owner, Syd Corser, who used her as his private motor yacht. Her cruising grounds were the rugged waters off the Western Australian coast.
Under just her third owner who has had her in his care for 26 years she is now reluctantly offered for sale.
Huntress is robustly constructed of carvel planked Oregon on Spotted Gum and copper fastened. Her decks are teak over ply and recently resurfaced.
The vessel has had a continuing refurbishment and upgrades of her various systems.
She is powered by a Gardner 6LX with only 20 hours running since a total professional rebuild including the gearbox.
