Remarks
SALONIKA. Work boat with a spirit, heart & soul

A genuine 'labour of love' in progress, ex-tug and work boat, SALONIKA is a one-of-a-kind long-range recreational vessel with the stability, reliability and seaworthiness to suit dive, surfing or fishing safaris, research or expedition cruising.
Her current owners, professional marine painters and experienced boaties, had big plans for SALONIKA, envisioning weekends and spare time aboard with friends, soaking up the sunshine and exploring the east coast. But life has intervened and they are now reluctantly offering SALONIKA for sale, aiming to entrust her to a new owner with a sense of adventure and appreciation of her rugged charm and unlimited potential.
Along with her steel hull in head-turning Signal Red, with superstructure painted a pleasant Moondust cream, this exceptional vessel boasts a massive aft deck with non-skid coating.
At 6m x 4m is the perfect space for all your gang, and their watertoys and diving gear, and just as brilliant for entertaining or relaxing on bean bags or a hammock and taking in the scenery, whether tropical island or polar climes.
SALONIKA can take on any conditions with ease and grace, her thick hull ideally shaped to cut through a swell, while her single shaft driven Cummins 201,6-cylinder diesel motor is low maintenance and burbles beautifully, "like the heart, soul and voice of this sturdy middle-aged lady".
There's a comfortable pilot house, luxury helm chair and the latest nav equipment, while below decks are basic bunks which could easily be revamped into something more salubrious.
Built to survey in 1984 as a versatile work boat for BHP, SALONIKA would be ideal for a group of guys, or a couple with eyes cast to the horizon and dreams of cruising the South Pacific, or further afield. Plus she has the definite potential for commercial work.
