2012 Greg Young 60 | Stardust

Arguably one of the finest catamarans on today's brokerage market, Stardust delivers the ultimate combination of high-speed racing performance and luxuriously comfortable cruising.

This custom-built sailing catamaran features an all-carbon construction and has only been used privately by her one owner. Professionally maintained since her launch, Stardust is the ultimate boat for cruising and entertaining, and she is remarkably easy to sail short-handed. She has enjoyed a host of major electronic and sailing system upgrades, including a 2019 recent respray and refit to reflect the owner's exacting standards.

The winner of the Multihull Racing Division at 2018 Hamilton Island Race Week, Stardust delivers exhilarating performance. Her exceptional light-wind performance easily matches or exceeds wind speed, and she is absolutely thrilling to sail at speeds over 20 knots.

Powerful hydraulic rams operated by precision joystick controls at her dual helm stations control mast rotation, main sheet, traveller, boom vang, outhaul and jib sheet. All halyards and other sheets run back to three-speed Harken 80 winches at the helms, so all sail controls are literally at your fingertips. There is no grinding to be done.

Stardust's performance sailing to windward has to be seen to be believed, sailing higher and faster than many racing monohulls. Her self-tacking jib, auto-mast rotation and traveller functions mean tacking is a dream and definitely a simple one-person operation. Her extensive sail wardrobe paired with the carbon-wing section rotating mast optimises your performance and safety in any conditions, and Stardust's 1.3m bridge deck clearance ensures a comfortable and safe ride.

Dual helm stations afford a perfect view to trim the sails, see oncoming seas and wind shifts, and make docking a breeze with uninterrupted views from bow to stern. The very latest B&G H5000 navigation, instrument and autopilot system is networked to both helm stations and the indoor nav station, giving you full control inside and out.

Stardust's generous galley boasts panoramic views and an abundance of space for food preparation and entertaining. Her Smeg four-burner gas stove/oven and convection microwave, dishwasher, four stainless drawer fridge/freezers, icemaker and Bosch washer/dryer deliver all the modern conveniences of home.

An elegant polished-carbon bar counter with matching custom stools ensures the galley is a social hub as well as a great place to cook.

The leather saloon lounges seat eight to ten guests in luxurious comfort, and the coffee table doubles as a dining table with its motorised height adjustment and easy-to-fold-out extensions. The large surrounding electric windows disappear into the walls to seamlessly integrate the interior with the outdoors.

Stardust's sleek polished-carbon styling is continued throughout the cabins and bathrooms. The catamaran features three double cabins plus a cabin with two single bunks, all fitted with premium quality custom-made mattresses and linen, and there is ample storage space. The three bathrooms comprise generous showers and new (2018) electric flush toilets.

Her list of additional features is endless, but also includes a watermaker, reverse cycle air conditioning and dive compressor!

Stardust is simply the finest performance cruiser available today and is ready to sail away with nothing more to spend. She will not disappoint the most discerning of buyers, so visit the Multihull Solutions website for her full inventory and contact the team to arrange an inspection.
