A terrific FISHING & FAMILY boat, fun, safe, a complete rebuild 2008.

Sleep on it, wakeboard behind it, go fishing or just use it for fun family days out.

If the weather turns bad, you know you will get home safely.

Completely restored and improved over an extended period, relaunched in Oct 2008 and kept in the garage. This is a unique boat, there is not another 24 ft Mustang like this one.

Everything was removed from the hull, new floors, stringers and bulkheads added, then the external surfaces were painted with two pack polyurethane paint. It has a self draining cockpit floor with large under floor storage with sealed hatches. All under floor areas were filled with closed cell buoyancy. The interior was remodelled to be stronger and more useful than original.

All the interior linings and upholstery replaced. The galley has a nice bench area with recessed stainless steel sink with glass top with a LED light overhead. Under the galley bench is a 12V fridge / freezer and draws. The toilet and hand basin are on the opposite side to the galley in their own space with LED lighting. There is good storage under the bunks including draws.

The bridge-deck arrangement means it has surprisingly good accommodation for a modest size boat.

Inside has lovely, high quality timber joinery, featuring Queensland Flooded Gum trim and Queensland Red Cedar draw fronts.
The instrument panel is also Queensland Red Cedar.

A new 300 hp Yamaha motor and stern-drive package was installed, and now, still has very low hours.

The engine has fresh water closed circuit heat exchanger cooling system and it has always been flushed after use. It is a clean, well maintained engine and stern-drive.

It sits on a good trailer with 4 wheel brakes and breakaway system. (While I keep the boat in a fully enclosed locked garage, you may chose to keep it rack stored at a marina. )

These early Mustangs were an iconic hull shape, 24 degree deep V hull, dry and fast (won many offshore racing events in its day). It has a very low centre of gravity, with a soft rolling motion.

This was factory built about 1980, but I relaunched it after the complete rebuild in October 2008.

Ok, so you are wondering why I would be selling this boat? I am not using it anymore as I now have a larger boat. I hope to sell it to someone who appreciates it and will continue to look after it.
