BUSINESS FOR SALE - Kiana currently operates from Coral Sea Marina Resort in Airlie Beach, the commercial and tourist gateway to the Whitsunday Islands.

This successful and profitable business has successfully operated for 16 years and today provides two 3-day/2-night cruises for up to 14 guests at a time around the Whitsunday Islands and the outer Great Barrier Reef where it has its own mooring facility.

The business is fully crewed with Skippers, Dive Instructors and Deckhands/cooks). The current owners do not perform any crewing duties and assist in the turnaround and stocking activities of the vessel. Marketing, Manifesting, reservation and Billing are all taken care of by Whitsundays Sailing Adventures of which Kiana Sail and Dive are a founding member.

All Permits required to operate the business are included in the sale, and Kiana Sail and Dive has Advance ECO Tourism accreditation and Climate Change Innovator accreditation from ECO Tourism Australia.

The business in profitable with further scope to drive profits should the new owner decided to perform some of the crewing services themselves on one of the trips each week.

Kiana Sail and Dive is a founding member of Whitsundays Sailing Adventures (see Whitsundays Sailing Adventures. Com), a cooperative of charter boat owners that provides marketing, reservation and billing services to its members.

The new owner of Kiana Sail and Dive would be eligible to membership of Whitsunday Sailing Adventures and a have seat on the board as a Director.

This business is being sold as a going concern.

The vendor will as part of the sale process provide the purchaser with training in the operation of the business and a period of handover assistance. The period of this handover training will be negotiated and agreed to as part of the sale process.

The business is currently fully crewed for all sea duties with the owners not performing any sea time themselves. The owners assist and manage the turnaround and stocking activities of the vessel.

As part of the sale the following permits are included:

1. A 365-day Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Tourist Program Permit for 24 passengers for one 35 metre vessel and one ancillary vessel being a tender.

2. A Great Barrier Reef Marine Program Park Mooring Permission for one commercial mooring to be sunk and operated at Bait Reef on the outer Great Barrier Reef.

3. A Commercial Activities Permit to allow Kiana's guests to visit various sites within the Whitsunday Islands National Park including the Hill Inlet look-out on Whitsunday Island which delivers those amazing photo opportunities for Hill Inlet and Whitehaven Beach.

Included in the sale is a mooring permit (noted above). This can be sunk and can be used as a private mooring authorised to be only used by Kiana.

Kiana Sail and Dive currently holds a Queensland Liquor Licence and subsequently has a bar on board the vessel and is classified as a Licenced Premise. The licence is part of the sale, subject to the new applicant gaining the approval from the relevant government authorities, and ensuring all relevant staff have the certificates required to sell and serve alcohol in a commercial licenced premise.
