Pelican V was purchased by the present owners in 2008. She cruised extensively along the Queensland coast as far north as Lizard Island before heading north to the Kimberlies. Departing Darwin for Indonesia in 2010. Pelican V then sailed as far north as Thailand then eastwards through Borneo, Sulawesi, Irian Jaya, the islands off the north coast of PNG and south to the Solomons and Vanuatu. The boat is now located on the Gold Coast and is reluctantly offered for sale at a realistic price.

Sail Drives Yanmar SD20's with Kiwi Prop feathering props (2 new spare blades). Serviced in 2009,2013 and November 2016 with new zincs, oil seals, O rings and sail drive legs oil changes.

Fuel; Two 225 litre stainless steel tanks - one in each bow with dedicated fuel pumps feeding into two 30 litre stainless day tanks located in the cockpit floor. These gravity feed to the engines.
Water; As for the fuel, two 225 litre stainless steel tanks - one in each bow with individual Jabsco 31295 pressure pumps (2012).

Sail Inventory; All sails new in 2008. GM Sails fully battened Dacron mainsail with three reefing points set up for slab reefing, Windslyce RCB Luff cars with tandem head carrier. Dacron genoa on fore stay & rope furling Pentex screecher mounted on fore beam prodder. Both foresail furlers are led back to the cockpit. The genoa is furled on a Profurl Headsail Furler Model C420 (2008) 2:1 Spectra 12mm halyard (2014)

Mast / Rigging;
Fully anodised aluminium fractional mast (20m air draft) and boom. Three swept back spreaders resulting in a light weight rig, favoured in New Zealand for performance. A masthead Tricolour, wind instrument sender, anchor light and wind angle indicator. Steaming and halogen deck light are mast mounted. Standing rigging replaced using Ronstan Sea Rig top & bottom fittings in 2011.316Gstainless steel 1 x 19 wire. Rigging inspected, tuned and certified on 23rd

Deck Gear ;
Two Harken 46 two speed self tailing genoa winches on bridge deck roof. Single Lewmar 50 two speed self tailing main halyard winch (2013) on starboard bridge deck roof. Single Harken 46 two speed self tailing main sail sheet winch on cockpit port side. Two Harken 40 two speed self-tailing main sail traveller winches through jammers on both sides of cockpit. These also work as the screecher sheet winches. All halyards, mainsail outhaul and reefing lines are led through Spinlock XCS jammers on both sides of the bridge deck.

Covers; Targa is fitted with Sunbrella awning and detachable side & stern covers. Large sunshade can be fitted under boom which covers part of front deck and bridge deck. Sunbrella covers for all winches

Interior has extensive Tasmanian Oak with two pack surfaces along with fibreglass. Interior has recently been repainted and new laminate flooring installed. Two queen size stern cabins, one elevated on slats to stop condensation. Stern cabins have rear escape hatches. Two bow double cabins.
Bridge deck;
Galley is in the bridge deck with stainless steel oven & 4 burner gas range (2009). Twin stainless steel sinks with pressurised hot & cold water. Waeco upright 160 litre 12 volt frig / freezer with external thermostat.
On the back deck hinged on the targa supports & suspended over the water to deal with drips is a new (November 2016) Weber Q BBQ.
Toilets; Two 12V electric macerator full size toilets. Port toilet connected to a holding tank & pump out.
One in each hull with hot & cold water. Rinnai external gas hot water and 240V electric hot water tank for use when connected to shore power. This tank is also plumbed into starboard engine for heating water when engine running. This is disconnected at present but can be easily reattached.

Depth sounders are located in each bow. Port is a Garmin fishfinder and starboard is a Tactic wireless model. Ideal setup for navigating narrow waterways.
Autopilot - Coursemaster 750 with hydraulic connection to internally located tiller bar.

Batteries Each engine has its own dedicated starter battery Port 2012 & Stb 2011.
House batteries consist of six 6V wet cell 225 amp hr Trojan T105 batteries connected in series & parallel (8/2015) to provide 675 amp hrs capacity.
BEP Marine voltage sensitive relays (2007) ensure that engine starter batteries are charged before charging is directed to the house bank.

Tender Global Force Marine Hypalon RIB 2.85m with 8 HP Mercury outboard. RIB has had recent service
Outboard is operable but is in poor condition. RIB is transom hung.
