If you want safety, easy short handed sailing, performance, ready to cruise full ocean spec, energy efficiency and liveaboard comforts then this is the boat for you.

As we cruised for 2 years with a young family no expense was spared with safety gear. AIS send and receive, radar and sea-me radar detector told us of nearby boat. Raymarine chartplotter linked into the Lifetag would alert us should anyone go overboard and track the way back to them. Jacklines and side nets kept the kids, parents and tools on board. The strong hull and rig that had plenty safety margin gave us much comfort when we were in big seas.

Cruising as a family ment that smart shorthand sailing was essential. All lines lead back to the skipper position where there is an electric winch and jammers for all ropes. Both genoa sheets even go to the skipper position so I did not have to leave the wheel to tack the boat. The foot controlled electric winch ment that my hands are free to manage the ropes. Full Harken deck gear including ballbearing genoa cars and ball bearing haliard sheeths for the main and spinnakar haliards these all make the handeling much smoother.

As I am a racing sailor it was important to have a boat that sailed well. Mast and sail experts were consulted to enhance the performance of the boat. The simple yet powerful sail plan drive the boat to regulary get 180 NM a day and 240 NM on a very good day. The laminate sails have held their shape exceptionally well so they perform just link new sails, I love them! Details like the Flexo-fold props get rid of the hand brake and provide almost an extra knot in speed.

Our two years of cruising took us across the Altanic and Pacific oceans, thus we had the boat fully spec'd for this trip. All the items such as liferaft, large dinghy, water-maker etc. Are all built into the boat, not just add on's.

As we wanted a sailing boat not a motor boat we set up the boat so that minimal charging time would be required. All our lights were LED lights, the fridges (National lunar) and watermaker (Spectra) were the most efficient avalable. We fitted on 760W of high voltage solar panels, very efficient gel batteries and 200 amp hour alternators on each motor this has resulted in us having to do very little motor charging with only 1000 hrs on each motor. Often other boats are charging for 5 hours using their motors and we just needed 1 hour due to our solar panels, we loved them!

As much as I liked racing I knew that we needed to enjoy comfortable cruising so extras were added that made our life aboard a pleasure. The full size washing machine ment that we had clean cloths and sheets and would not need to waste time ashore doing washing. The many storage spots ment that everything had a place. The full size oven made feeding the family or visitors a pleasure, pizzas were a favourite on board. Our 12ft ali inflatable with the 18HP took us to many interesting coves with ease and kept the shopping dry when at anchor.
