Catenza is a John Hughes designed EV14 ultra high performance blue water cruiser, beautifully built by Craig Partridge Yachts in NZ and fitted with all serious cruising equipment.
Catenza is composite built to Catagory 1 specifications (full off shore rating to NZ standards). She is constructed with E-glass & epoxy resin with carbon reinforcing to the high stress areas as identified by HiModulus. As a one-off to the owners' preferences she is also reinforced with Kevlar below the waterline to give extra impact resistance. The cabin roof was constructed to doubled recomended strength to withstand additional green water loading.
The hulls have Coppercoat antifouling and sealed double bottoms as well as watertight compartments fore & aft.
Catenza has been carefully maintained since new in 2003 and has had all necessary updates & replacements to keep her in excellent condition throughout her 30,000nm of ocean cruising & racing. Her design and performance make her the ideal boat for the serious sailing couple to cruise in safety, comfort and style. Serious offers considered.
