This French design was voted Cruising World's 'Boat Of The Year' in 1996. With both Australian and Qld-registration, this luxury vessel has been meticulously refurbished both inside and out. Sailed back to Australia from the Caribbean (where she was in private ownership (not charter) she is a proven blue water vessel. Duty is already paid and constant upgrades keep her top of the line. Engines are current-model Volvo D130s and saildrives (130s not standard 120s) have around 600 hrs. Hydranet radial-cut fully battened mainsail and jib are just one season old. So too the lightweight SK75 spinnaker. Rigging and turnbuckles new in 2021. Great watermaker, huge solar capacity, new hatches and windows, new cabinetry, carbon-fibre stanchions (with carbon inserts extending to top taper for additional strength). Huge shady entertainer's cockpit (not the usual 'bus shelter' seen on many cats this size) with new, permanent herculite top. All sail handling done from outside cockpit so guests and crew can relax under way. A BIG saloon (not a glorified corridor) with 1940mm (over 6'3") headroom throughout hulls and bridge-deck. A table that seats 8 (that's without nuisance stools in the walk space). New OC rigid tender with new Honda 6hp outboard, new electronics includes Raymarine EVO autopilot and Raymarine Axiom 12" chart plotter, MOBI alarm system (makes short-handed sailing so much safer). Spectra halyards and sheets, new Dyneema (not polyester) tramp, new spray job above and below waterline, Profurl (435) furler completely replaced in 2013. Targa bar added in 2018, leather lounges. 4 double cabins, 4 heads, each with own shower (new tapwear installed 2022). A 5th shower on the transom steps. Great refrigeration, galley up with modern, gas stove, new $4000 French-designed Ewincher (not the much-cheaper, heavyweight Australian-made knock-off) makes all sail handling a breeze. Extra mast winch (new 2021), longer sail tracks (both new 2020). Heads are all large bowl (not standard yachting 'compact' bowls) plumbed to seperate holding tanks in each hull. Feathering Kiwi-props, extra deck hatches and vents, new covered fenders, new forward crossbeam, new cockpit awning, the list goes on. Also worth noting is the closed-cell, foam core (not balsa or cedar) made clearing quarantine into Australia so much easier. No chance of rot there either. UPDATES DEC 2022: New cockpit cushions installed. These are 2" closed cell shock-absorbing PE30 foam. The set shown in pics above (which was only 12 months old) we weren't happy with. Pics will be updated shortly. Also just completed is a new anchoring system that brings the anchor forward to the fore beam instead of launch/retrieve between the hulls. The system runs completely beneath the big tramp so no mud/chains to deal with and a MUCH cleaner anchor locker results. This has proved a HUGE improvement for single-handed anchoring as there is no longer a need to 'chase' the chain from the helm to stop it from chafing under the forefoot of the bows. A fringe-benefit is that the compression struts that run back to the hull would allow for the fitting of a prodder (if so desired). System is removable (just undo 3 bolts) if you would prefer to go back to the original design and/or would prefer to carry the anchor fwd while coasting and further aft for offshore passage-making. New anchor chain (60m x 10mm PWB) and bridle Dec 2022 as well.
