KESTREL II

36 Feet STEEL CUTTER KETCH, built as comfortable, go-anywhere yacht by Tasmanian builder, this steel cruising yacht is worth a look for those to whom safety and comfort at sea are paramount.

Her current owners, purchased her in 2013 in Darwin and have been living aboard for 5 years and cruising down Australia's East coast for the last 3.5yrs.

Her interior is very comfortable with a double bed in the Aft and two single berths in a good size Saloon. She has LED lighting and 12v fans throughout. Her exterior has been very well maintained. Below the waterline was sandblasted in 2017, with antifoul bi-yearly. She comes with a Hooker dive system.

The galley is well equipped and safe to use at sea, and is equipped with a good size methylated spirts oven + 2 ring burner. In addition there is a marine grade BBQ on deck. To support long passages she has a 80L fridge and 80L freezer both of which have dual options to run as either fridge or freezer, plus 650L water tanks. She comes with a portable Rainman water maker.

Electronics inventory is suited to offshore cruising and safe navigation, including AIS. All electronics installed new 2015. Navigation paper charts for Australia, New Zealand and World Cruising charts included.

For electricity, there are plenty of solar panels as well as a wind generator and an Aquair drag and wind generator to support 12v 600a/hrs lithium house battery system.

She has a Perkins 4.108 M rebuilt 2016, supported by 850L fuel tanks.

Kestrel II is well maintained and is set up for coastal or offshore cruising with all the hard work done. She is ready for you to step aboard and take on the cruising life style.
