Remarks
Shakaya is a striking yacht with classic lines. She was built in Rhode Island in 1973 by the Bristol Yacht Company. The Bristol 40 was produced from 1970 to 1997 with 149 built. There are few days on the water that she does not attract a compliment.

With her shallow draft full keel and keel hung rudder she is ideal for Moreton Bay Cruising but is also a capable cruiser. Shakaya has proven her seaworthiness with a recent cruise from Brisbane to the Whitsunday Islands in 2017. She was sailed from east coast US to Australia in the early 90's

Her solid glass hull and deck eliminate many concerns associated with fiberglass construction. She has been lovingly maintained and has had professionally done maintenance and upgrades to ensure that she is dry, safe and easily sailed.
