Mr Kite is one of the fastest 40 foot racing yachts in Australia. Mr Kite, a Cape 40 Canting Keel Carbon Fibre Racing Yacht. Originally built in 2005, Mr Kite was built largely as an experimental yacht with self tacking runners, twin canards and many other technological advancements.

Since an extensive refit in 2009, which brought her back to a more traditional design, whilst maintaining some of the more radical and technological advancements in modern day yacht racing, the design and construction included a technically advanced canting keel. A canting keel means the keel is hinged on the underside of the yacht¹s carbon fibre hull and controlled by a large hydraulic ram so it can swing from one side to the other and increase stability.

Mr Kite has taken line honours in two Launceston to Hobart races and was the first 40-footer home in the 2012 Sydney - Gold Coast race.
