Tour/Video

This boat was professionally constructed by SeaBird Marine on the Gold Coast. Solidly built with triple diagonal planks soaked and bonded with West System epoxy and dynel sheathing makes this an extremely sturdy boat. This type of construction is not just strong and light but has the added benefit of natural insulation virtually eliminating condensation.

The Volvo Penta 35HP engine has less than 300hrs on the clock since a complete rebuild.

The high, solid rail makes this a very safe boat to walk around even in large seas and the 3/4 length shoal draft keel with skeg hung rudder makes the boat track straight even when the going gets rough. With a draft of just 1.2m (4ft) this boat is perfect for sailing around places like Moreton Bay. The shallow draft allows achoring closer to the beach in the most sheltered locations possible. Lowering the centreboard improves upwind performance and increases the draft to 2.4m.

Instruments include Garmin NMEA 2000 multifunction display with wind, depth, speed etc. New in 2012. Humminbird chartplotter (2010) using Navionics Charts. A Standard Horizon VHF radio with Digital Selective Calling (2014). All electroncs are less than a few years old. There is a low powered LED 32inch TV with DVD player (2014)

The electical systems are powered by 4 X 100Ah Absorbed Glass Matt batteries (2012). Switchboard replaced and wiring upgraded in 2014. Batteries are kept charged by 4 solar panels, 280W in total and/or the Air Ex wind turbine and/or the engine alternator.

240V power is supplied while away from land via the 1200W inverter (new 2014) Shore power connections upgraded in 2016.

In the Galley there is a large Tudor s/s 2 burner stove & grill, capable of producing a full roast dinner. If you prefer to cook outside there is a large rail mounted stainless steel BBQ.
Refrigeration is exceptional with 2 built-in fridges. 1 x 100 litre eutectic fridge and 1 x 125 litre coiled freezer. Digital control (replaced 2015) can be easily adjusted and either fridge can be configured for either fridge or freezer.

Loads of storage, plenty of room for everything.

Sail handling is easy with the roller furled Genoa and fully battened main sitting in a boom bag with lazy jacks. The sails are in good condition and the boom bag new in 2016. This boat is easily sailed single handed.

On the rear davits there is a 3.1m Plastimo RIB with fiberglass floor. This is powered by a 4HP 4 stroke Yamaha (2008)

This is an ideal cruising boat for weekends away or long term cruising.
