The Challenger 39 is a raised pilothouse (two helms) bluewater cruising yacht. "Irish Mist" (AMSA registered) has cruised extensively demonstrating outstanding offshore capability. These vessels are noted for their vice-free efficiency under sail. "Irish Mist" presents in excellent condition and is comprehensively equipped. She is set up to be handled safely and easily by a crew of two. A 42hp Volvo Penta (sail-drive) powers the vessel economically at 6 knots. Below the deck, the big (pilothouse-style) windows provide great light and visibility. The pilothouse/saloon incorporates the helm station, full-service galley and dinette/settees. There are two private double cabins, aft is the owner's cabin with an ensuite and forward is a 'V' double with a second bathroom adjacent (berths for 6). Her current owner has undertaken a solid programme of maintenance and upgrades during 2022.

Accommodation

Step below to the light/bright pilothouse/saloon. The layout/accommodation is outstanding in terms of function and comfort. Aft to starboard is the private owners' double cabin with ensuite. Forward of the bulkhead is a second private double cabin. Both the aft and forward double berths have NEW memory foam/innerspring mattresses. There is a second bathroom adjacent to the forward cabin. The helm station (with a complete array of instruments) is to starboard and boasts an adjustable skipper's chair. The full-service galley is to port. Step down and forward to the dinette. The U-shaped settee encapsulates the table (can be lowered to provide a double berth). Opposite is another in-line settee. An efficient ducted diesel heater ensures the crew are warm and snug.
Storage above and below deck under, behind and above is sufficient for all the gear required for an extended cruise.
