Yarrawonga is a traditional racing yacht and was designed by Archibald Barber and built by Charles Larson. Charlie's shed was located at Wharf Road in Gladesville on the northern side the Parramatta River NSW and she was launched in 1939.

Yarrawonga had a fabulous sailing career and she is sistership to "Rani", winner of the inaugural Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race in 1945. Further to her racing life, she worked as a day-patrol vessel during the second world war and had a gun mounted where you would usually find a mast!

Her past owners have loved racing and cruising this historic yacht, and details of her past can be found on the Australian National Maritime Museum Yacht Register. She had a major re-fit including replacement of the deck in 2001 in Tasmania and she is still in superb condition.

A true piece of Australian Yachting History and ready for her next adventure with a new owner!

The interior is finished in Huon Pine and Australian Cedar with Birds Eye Maple detailing and white painted surfaces.
The main cabin/ saloon features port and starboard galley and two settee berths forward of the galley with a dining table, and suitable storage. The settees have proper sea-rails making them idea underway berths and the cabin is light filled by way of the deck light hatch above.

Forward of the mast bulkhead is a small head and hold down hand basin, further storage, and V-berth in the bow.

The cockpit also features an in-fill that doubles as a table. Engine start panel is hidden in forward panel of cockpit.
Note- the boat has not sailed for some years, so sailing systems need further review.
On- Deck: The deck is laid with beech and finished with varnish. Deck hatches and skylights are teak. The deck is preserved with a sealer, a light sanding would bring back to pristine condition. On deck details such as all bronze deck hardware including cleats, air dorades, winches etc add to the charm of the vessel.
The deck hatches are all timber and raised, and the raised cabin has opening bronze port holes for ventilation and light.
