FARR MRX - Complete racing package including a Pen and Storage Shed at Fremantle Sailing Club (Conditions Apply)

From the highly regarded design team at Farr Yacht Design, the MRX originated in New Zealand as a one design concept. A total of eleven hulls where built to exacting standards by McDell Marine in Auckland. Ten of those were launched and one was kept as a spare and put into storage. The spare boat was discovered by the current owner, who immediately saw the potential in the design, purchased and shipped it back to Perth. The yacht was then fitted out to vary high standard that included a custom-built IRC optimised rig by NZ Rigging. The entire fit out was project managed by Paul Eldrid of OneSails Australasia. In November 2012 'Stimulus Package' was launched.

Optimised for IRC, Stimulus Package is a very competitive racing yacht with the advantage of a great handicap (TCC 0.966). Throughout her racing career she has recorded some very impressive results. In 2018/19 Stimulus Package dominated the Fremantle Sailing Club Inshore Summer Series winning Division 1 Consistency, Division 1 IRC Consistency, Division 1 Championship and Division 1 IRC Championship.

The sail wardrobe is top notch and was put together and supplied by OneSails WA. Stimulus Package also boasts a very good electronic package with a Simrad chartplotter, Icom HF and VHF radios, an inverter for 240v appliances and instrumentation by NEXUS. With the NEXUS RaceBOX in the heart of the system delivering data and tactical tools for a competitive advantage on the racecourse.

Down below in full race mode there are swing down pipe bunks for the crew. There is also a full set of cushions and mattresses that are easily removed and stored in the shed. As an added bonus she also has the basic essentials for the occasional night at Rottnest.

Safety is well catered for will all of the essential equipment plus the addition of 6x PLB's for the crew, a transom mounted emergency rudder and tiller (cat 2) and an oar and mount (Cat 3).

Stimulus Package is being offered as a complete turnkey racing package (no pun intended) with the option to take over the pen lease and a highly prised and sought-after storage shed at FSC. For these options you would need to be a member of FSC (membership can be arranged for a genuine buyer).

Brokers comments:
This yacht has been meticulously maintained by her one and only owner and presents in excellent condition inside and out. The way she has been setup and maintained is a credit to the owner and an inspection will not disappoint. If you are looking for a highly competitive racing yacht that is capable of picking up some silverware, then this may well be the yacht you are looking for.

For additional information or to arrange an inspection, please call Chris Dobson 0428 444 727.
