Looking for an easy to handle, fast sailing yacht, with a luxurious & comfortable liveaboard fitout, that's perfect for coastal or blue water cruising?

Then sv Maxedout, a Freedom 42 CC, fits the bill as this design is renowned for it's build quality, ease of handling and performance. The sloop rig is based on a freestanding carbon fiber mast together with self-tending jib and it's a real pleasure to sail.

Ease of handling, with all running rigging leading aft to the cockpit through stoppers to large winches so that sails can easily be handled by one person without leaving the cockpit, perfect for cruising couples. An electric-powered winch ensures that anyone aboard can hoist sail with ease.

But what really makes "Maxedout" shine is her speed while sailing in comfort, with all the amenities of home. "Maxedout" has a spacious saloon, impressive aft cabin with centerline queen and amazing storage in beautiful cherry and teak. She is a proven, true, blue water cruiser (California, Mexico, Pacific, New Zealand, Australia) with many custom upgrades, extra navigation and functional equipment that makes for a very safe and comfortable cruiser/ live aboard.

"Maxedout" also benefits from a superb hull and deck condition (no osmosis). This boat was designed by Gary Mull and the hull was built by the renowned American Tillotson-Pearson Yard to USCG, NMMA, NFPA codes and offshore racing council safety regulations.

The brilliance of this design is only really appreciated when single handed short tacking the boat without leaving the helm station. Sailors new to a Freedom Yacht need only tack up a narrow harbor entrance simply turning the wheel, while normal boats fight their way with much winching and grunting.

The Freedom sailboats also have unstayed rigs, meaning that the mast is freestanding and not supported by the normal set of wires called standing rigging. Garry Hoyt, a champion sailor and noted maverick, created the unstayed rigs to give "freedom" from the inefficient sail shapes of traditional sloop rigs as well as to give "freedom" from the compression and maintenance issues associated with standing rigging.
(https://www. Pbo. Co. Uk/boats/freestanding-masts-69887)

The mast is made of carbon fiber and is set well forward on the boat. This means most of the sail area is contained in the mainsail. Jib sails can either be overlapping or self-tending.

"Maxe dout", hull #1 of the Freedom 45 series, without the sugar scoop transom makes her a 42, LOA 44 feet 11 inches. She has been maintained and constantly upgraded - with only 3 owners during her lifespan. For an illuminating discussion on the Freedom Yachts please refer to Ferenc Mate's "WORLD'S BEST SAILBOATS" (https://www. Amazon. Com/Worlds-Best-Sailboats-Survey/dp/09 20256112)

The current owners purchased her in NZ (2018) from American owners, then sailed back to Australia and re-registered her on the Australian shipping register. Import duty and sales tax are paid. Additional electrical systems were installed so that the boat is equally functional with 110v or 240 v shore power, similarly both 110v and 240v outlets are throughout the boat and any appliance can be used as required.
