"Butcherbird", with thousands of sea miles under the keel is a proven thoroughbred blue-water cruiser. The current owners have over a number of years cruised from the Whitsundays west about via Darwin, Western/South Australia to Tasmania (see notes in General Remarks). This superb sea boat is set up to be handled by a couple. The spacious pilothouse incorporates the comprehensively equipped helm station, the saloon and access to fore and aft sleeping quarters, galley and bathroom. The owner's cabin aft features a queen size double berth. Step outside through the sliding side doors (either side) to wide and uncluttered decks. The substantial tender on davits is launched/retrieved with the aid of a power winch. The ketch rig is easily managed with a furling headsail and the main and mizzen sails encapsulated by lazy jacks. A powerful/economical 75 hp Yanmar has what it takes to drive the big vessel through the slop. The range under motor is approximately 1200 nm. "Butcherbird" presents in excellent condition (complete hull re-furbish by Abel Marine early 2021) and is ready for you to fill the tanks, load your gear on board and go cruising.

Genuine bluewater cruisers of this calibre are rare. CALL PAUL 0418 385 866 to arrange an inspection.

Accommodation
The accommodation layout is ideal for a blue-water cruiser. The spacious (airconditioned) pilothouse with sliding side doors and comprehensively equipped helm station is light and brights thanks to the huge all-around windows. Comfortable settees run along both sides. Walking aft, step down to the dinette to starboard with the huge galley opposite. Aft again to the owner's cabin with a queen (almost king) size berth running athwartship. There is plenty of light and ventilation from opening ports and galleon style transom windows. The teak fit-out and teak and holly cabin sole are to a high standard of workmanship. There are storage lockers aplenty. Forward of the pilothouse step down and to port is a cabin turned workshop/store. The bathroom is opposite. Forward to the nicely fitted V-cabin with 2 x large single berths and again with plenty of gear storage locker/drawer spaces.
