From the design board of Hank Kaufman ( NORTHSHORE YACHTS FAME) this yacht is a very close sister to the NORTHSHORE 33.
Professionally built by well regarded Huon Yachts' Rod Goode, the brief was for a comfortable PERFORMANCE CRUISER that would perform competitively with the very keen fleet at the Huon Yacht Club. The boat was successfully raced on the Huon River then the second owner bought the boat to Hobart in the early 1990's and again was very competitive racing in club fleets here right up to recent times.
The boat has also been used for family cruising in local waters by both owners, confirming its status as a true cruiser/club racer
The build is Triple Planked Tassie King Billy pine, sheathed and epoxied (West System) with laminated frames and bulkheads providing a very strong but light boat.
Accommodation does provide for local and coastal cruising, with a spacious open saloon, galley and nav station, then for'ard to large double vee berth and enclosed head. Two good sized quarter berths complete the berths for up to 6 people.
The large cockpit has great space for the racing crew or just relaxing at anchor and the decks allow easy movement around the boat.
Auxiliary power is from a 15 hp outboard (new 2014) that sits in its own well and can be raised when sailing to minimise drag and provides plenty of power when motoring.
The sail wardrobe is complete and covers all requirements.
The boat is for sale for genuine reasons and the recent huge price reduction provides a real opportunity to purchase a great boat at an amazing price
