A beautifully restored 25 foot Laurent Giles wooden Vertue. Perfect for the lover of small classic timber yachts. The Vertue is a famous design with hundreds built that have sailed everywhere. Vertues have cruised the world and even rounded Cape Horn. This beautiful, Australian-built example has been lovingly restored over the last two years. Starting with removing the mast in 2016, it was stripped back to bare timber and re-varnished in top grade varnish. The rigging was replaced with new larger size stainless wire. A new fully-battened mainsail was added to the sail wardrobe in 2017 along with new boom bag and lazy jacks. The hull was stripped, sanded and repainted along with the deck in July 2017. The coachhouse and cockpit were stripped and painted and revarnished and new Lexan windows were fitted with rechromed window surrounds. The interior was stripped, water tanks removed and cleaned, and the interior was repainted and revarnished in December 2017. Brand new bunk covers and cushions were fitted after the interior upgrade was finished. She has a Yanmar motor with low hours, which was last serviced in August 2017. She has all the gear you need to take her cruising. Equipment includes VHF radio, new log-sounder, autopilot, as well as a lot of extra gear. The boat not only looks beautiful she sails like a dream and is ready to go. This is a very reluctant sale. I have only put her on the market because my wife wanted a bigger boat and we have now purchased a catamaran!. She is available to inspect at River Heads near Hervey Bay, Queensland and delivery can be negotiated. Don't miss this opportunity to purchase a rare, beautiful yacht.
