Fast cruising yachts for discerning owners.
One of the best equipped and maintained cruising yachts is for sale.
Delphian, a McIntosh 47, is a fast-performing cruising boat and a wonderful liveaboard, well equipped for bluewater cruising. She has been lovingly maintained and meticulously upgraded by her long-term owners including a major renovation in 2015 and an upgrade this year. After 15 years, the couple is moving to a trawler cruiser, offering you a wonderful opportunity to enjoy in comfort and style, a well-equipped, fast, bluewater cruising yacht.
She features a 72 hp Nanni Diesel Engine (Mercedes OM616 based), a 6.5KVA Onan Generator, 2 CruiseAir air conditioners, a 75L per hour Watermaker, a Mercury 310 RIB and Mariner 8 hp outboard engine. New NMEA2000 sailing instruments, 4G radar and a new genoa have recently been added to her complement. She was antifouled in March 2018 with International Intersmooth 360 and is ready to go wherever your dreams may take you.
Quality, craftsmanship, seaworthiness and safety are the four cornerstones of the McIntosh line of sailing yachts. Born from experience and tested values, the McIntosh 47 is a true performance bluewater cruiser, crafted in GRP with tremendous attention to detail, crew safety and crew comfort.
Tim Kings, the designer of the McIntosh 47 yachts did a great job in designing a beautiful centre cockpit two stateroom cruiser with a long, modified fin keel of 1.8m draft, lead ballast and a skeg mounted rudder. Similar to a Hylas 47, a Taswell 49 or Norseman 447, the underbody is modern and well suited for extended cruising. Her long waterline length of 12.2m and moderate beam at 4.4m mean that she's well-proportioned and at 13.6 tonnes displacement she is well-balanced when sailing. As a cruising home afloat that can take you anywhere, you'll be very impressed.
And I mean very impressed! Down below, you'll find that the quality of the workmanship and joinery is evident with teak bulkheads and teak and holly sole. The interior layout of this boat is amazing for its interior space and storage capacity. People are generally surprised when we mention the cocktail cabinet, but guess what, Delphian has one! With two staterooms and two heads including the owners' spacious aft cabin and ensuite head, there is plenty of space. With ample fixed windows, the opening ports and hatches provide great ventilation and light and there are two air conditioners and plenty of fans to keep you cool.
Delphian has been fortunate to receive the very best of care and upgrades by its owners. Her inventory is extraordinarily comprehensive and includes original manuals and documentation.
She's in top form! Few yachts have the same range of capabilities and qualities and are as ready for immediate long-range cruising as Delphian.
