Launched as LOWANNA 11 in the early 1970's and COMPETED IN 10 PLUS SYDNEY TO HOBARTS in the days when the emphasis was on sea-kindly yachts that could perform on all points of sailing and arrive with the boat and crew in good condition. She performed with some moderate success.
Still retaining THE ORIGINAL FITOUT but with equipment upgrades as required, including NEW 35HP BETA DIESEL ENGINE IN 2014 (only done approx 150 hrs), RIG UPGRADES, (2010), ELECTRONICS, BATTERIES etc.
The fitout provides VERY SPACIOUS and COMFORTABLE ACCOMODATION down below, LARGE VOLUME COCKPIT, WIDE DECKS, plus other great features typical of the era of these designs.
The current owner has had the boat for the past 15 years and cruised Southern Tasmanian waters with family, raced regularly with his local club and created many great memories over this period.
Presented in VERY TIDY CONDITION with VERY COMPLETE INVENTORY to provide the next owner with the oportunity to enjoy this lovely yacht
The boat is only for sale as its time to downsize, so this PROVIDES A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE A LARGE VOLUME, SEA-KINDLY, EASILY HANDLED YACHT that represents REAL VALUE.
The owner is committed to moving on hence THE YOOP is PRICED TO SELL, please call John Radonic on 0459 322 862 for more information or to arrange an inspection.
NOTE: Currently on a swing mooring in IDYLLIC ANCHORAGE in the HUON RIVER, SOUTHERN TASMANIA, this is available with the boat by negotiation
