Here is one for the lover of vintage wooden boats
Designed and Built by Eric Montergomery for J. R Bowen Esq and launched in 1951. Very solidly built with houn pine hull ( 1.5" planks) and teak topsides, teak fittout and spruce mast. She spent most of her life at the Brighton Yacht club being the 8th boat registered there.

Spacesous interier with over 6"6" headroom. Large cockpit that is great for enteraining with heaps of space for the family and friends. Ford bowman engine with gen origional 1500Hrs since new. Large aft cockpit allows for plenty of guests. They say good boats do not change hands often and the next owner will be the 4th. The vessel has been very well maintained by all owners with the current owner undertaking a full refurbishment. The decks have been recently professionally fiberglassed by Milkraft boatyard with the option of laying a teak deck if wanted, rigging has been replaced 3 years ago. Current owners are now in the process of putting fitting, winches etc back so the next owner will have trouble free boating for some time.
She has been slipped annually and the last survey report with pictures is available upon request. Comes with a couple of leather bound logs from the 1950s, origional blueprints, stacks of extras including the origional wooden blocks and the wooden boom is available if required although located in Melbourne. Additional logs are held in the Library at Brighton Yacht club. It is rare to be able to purchase a yacht with history as this.
If you are a wooden boat enthuist then she is worth a look. She will be slipped in June should any interested parties want to inspect.

Her maintaince can be tracked as a shipright who worked at Brighton yacht club started started his apprentship with the builder just after Taralye was launched and untill 5 yrs ago was still doing the maintence.

She will be on the slip at Pelican Slipways from Sat 7th July for a week should any interested wish to inspect
