Mottle 33 Mark 1
This is a 1985 Mottle 33 known for its roominess, good sailing characteristics and general ease of sailing. (Note, head height is about 180cm, so very tall people may not be suitable for this vessel)
Can easily be sailed single handedly.
Can be sailed comfortably with just the headsail up. Single handed.
This boat has been on Lake Macquarie for some time and has been a trusted and seaworthy boat travelling the east coast. [sailed down from Brisbane in 2018]
This vessel has been antifouled August 2019, and given an overhaul, such as re-glassing rudder mounts and keel base, new bollards, [3], and stainless steel fairleads, s/s life lines, sealing leaks around staunchons, re-painting decks, and interior spaces and motor renovations, ( new Welch plugs, water pump seals, injector renovations, and paint job. )
Plus a new opening window clear for the bimini.
Along with the recent new main sail, boom, self steering system, 12 volt fridge, and new upholstery in the cabin, electric winch, this vessel is set up well for coastal cruising.

Remarks
A very safe and extremely seaworthy vessel. [see Cruising Helmsman Nov 2019, Third Yacht Lucky, an honest review of these vessels]
With the fully encapsulated keel [ballast 2.273kg] and skeg hung rudder making this boat more than safe, compared to the modern craft with bolt on keels, particularly for unknown floating objects [containers whales etc].
Antifouled [Sept 2019]with new life lines, and deck paint. [definitely non osmosis]. [motor has been extensively serviced, new welsch plugs, renovated injectors and valves, paint job. Motor goes well, but is an old diesel, along with a well maintained saildrive, and therefore reflective of fair price.
I am now back up on the lake for that few months and ready to show this vessel to those most interested. The Shipwright is happy to detail all work done last year and give his assessment.
I can send you links to the video I have recently taken of the vessel sailing.
This vessel shows its age, in some areas, but has been largely renovated to present well and perform well.
