Akuna Maid is a sea-boat designed for extended passages, but slippery enough to get a 2nd in the 2015 Cock of the Bay race.
As well as a fun boat to race 'around the cans', her accommodation allows her to become something of a party boat. (We had a sit-down roast dinner for 18 at Geelong Australia Day!)
She was a Port Fairy icon giving the youth of Port Fairy sailing experiences around Tasmania in the 1970s and 80s. She was acquired in 2009, substantially refurbished and brought to Port Phillip. On a historical note, her keel includes 4T of lead from the wreck of the Loch Ard. She is berthed at Portarlington, RMYS, and can be seen in harbours all around the Bay.
